  • Does Kershaw County have a noise ordinance?

    Yes. In the event that a citation is issued regarding a noise complaint, the original complainant will be issued a subpoena to appear in court to testify to the offense.

  • If I see a crime in progress what should I do?

    Call 911. DO NOT get involved. Observe and record as much information about people or vehicles as you can.

    No, you may get a criminal background check by going to SLED or going to their website HERE

  • What do I need to do to take a warrant out on someone?

    You must first file a report with the Sheriff’s Office. The incident must have occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

    No. There are several locations locally who provide fingerprinting services, both non-law enforcement and law enforcement locations.
